The Kid (1921) is perhaps Chaplin’s most potent marriage of comedy and high emotion. The story relates how an unmarried mother abandons a baby, which is found and unwillingly adopted by the Tramp. Chaplin wrote, produced, directed, edited, and starred in the film. This release brings together the entire music of the film, as well as many bonuses completely unreleased to date, accompanied by a large format 24-page booklet including unpublished texts and photos.
